FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Nail Services Be Performed on Nails with Fungus?
For your safety and overall nail health, we recommend consulting a doctor if you suspect a fungal nail condition. It’s best to complete treatment and allow the nail to fully recover before receiving nail services. This helps ensure the best results while maintaining a safe environment for all guests.
If you are currently undergoing treatment, you’re still welcome to enjoy other salon services that do not involve the affected nail. Once your doctor has given you the all-clear, we’ll be happy to welcome you back for your regular nail care.
What Type of Nail Glue Do We Use?
At High Cotton Nail Bar, we use premium, professional-grade cyanoacrylate adhesives specifically formulated for advanced nail services. These salon-quality products are carefully selected to ensure both performance and nail integrity.
Our adhesives are designed to:
- Deliver a strong, seamless bond
- Set quickly for a smooth, efficient service experience
- Provide long-lasting wear with proper care
- Support precision application across a variety of techniques
We partner with trusted professional brands such as IBD, Young Nails, NSI, and Ardell to maintain the highest standards in quality and consistency.
Note: For optimal results, longevity may vary based on individual nail condition and aftercare.
Can You Bring Your Own Nail Polish to the Salon?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own nail polish. We’re happy to accommodate your personal preferences to ensure your service feels truly customized.
Why guests choose to bring their own polish:
• You can enjoy your exact preferred shade
• Convenient for touch-ups at home
• Ideal for specific brand or formula preferences
• Suitable for guests with sensitivities or allergies
A few things to note:
• Please ensure your polish is in good condition (not thickened or expired)
• Our service pricing remains the same, as it reflects the time, technique, and overall experience provided.
Do Nail Salons Remove Ingrown Toenails?
At High Cotton Nail Bar, your health and safety are always our top priority. While we are happy to care for and maintain the appearance of your nails, ingrown toenails that involve pain, swelling, or infection require medical attention and should be treated by a licensed podiatrist.
Our technicians are not permitted to perform medical procedures. If you are experiencing discomfort such as redness, tenderness, or swelling, we recommend seeking proper care from a medical professional to ensure safe and effective treatment.
For preventive care, our team can gently shape and trim nails to help reduce the likelihood of future ingrown issues.
Please note:
We may offer light grooming of the surrounding skin or very minor ingrown areas strictly for comfort and cosmetic purposes. This is only performed when appropriate and requires a signed waiver prior to service.
We appreciate your understanding as we maintain the highest standards of care, safety, and professionalism for every guest.
